Vice President of Falcon launch vehicles John Edwards stated on X (Twitter) that SpaceX is "planning to salvage the engines and do life leader inspections on the remaining hardware. There is still quite a bit of value in this booster. We will not let it go to waste."
By far this booster had immense popularity due to the fact it first flew the first two SpaceX & NASA astronauts Doug Hurley & Bob Behnken to the ISS on Demo 2 from American soil on American built rockets & capsules after the retirement of NASA Space Shuttle. It was the only first stage Falcon 9 booster to carry the famous NASA worm logo which added to the popularity and love for this amazing piece of historic space flight hardware.
SpaceX will most likely have to salvage the remaining top half of the booster now at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. It's this writers hopes that pieces of this booster will eventually end up in a museum and be properly displayed for the future generations to enjoy and study about its amazing history.
